At the end of 2024, the construction of Stellulata Cohousing has progressed a long way but is not complete. Thank you to all those who have followed our story and supported our efforts.
The images below will give you a sense of the beautiful building Brett Lowe has designed for us and the skill and workmanship of Peter Angelos’ team at Alliance Building Group.
Everyone has brought their expertise, focus and cooperative spirit to produce a great result.

The exterior finishes of the building are almost complete, the fences are in place, and the external works and landscaping can be progressed in the new year.
The garage is now lined and has a secure panel lift door so is ready to receive the batteries and inverters for the solar power system.
The main entrance to the Common House takes you through the kitchen into the beautiful open space of the living room.
The staircase leads to a delightful multipurpose room with views into and out of the building. The recycled oregon timber on the 60-degree section of the ceiling contrasts with the other interesting painted components.
The folded planes of the roof structure create interesting large volumes above the living rooms. Multiple skylights, windows and sliding glass doors ensure an open well-lit space.
The main components of the beautiful timber kitchen joinery are in place in all the units. Soon the plumbing, appliances, lights, and fans can be installed and painting of the interior can be completed.
The tiles are looking great with the high spaces in the bathrooms.
Each unit has a private courtyard which will feel like an extension of the southern bedroom.
The space in the utility courtyard at the front may hold bins, gardening items and some of the heat pumps for air conditioning.
