Stellulata Cohousing construction is halfway through a 12-month program, and thanks to Alliance Building Group, we are still on budget and on schedule. As you can see from the photos, once the project got out of the ground, things moved quickly.
The steel frame photo below might give you an appreciation of how the space has been designed by our architect, Brett Lowe.
The high part of the roof slopes north at 30 degrees - just the right angle for solar panels. The southern roofline drops at 60 degrees and then forms a standard ceiling, 2.4 metres high. On the north, the ceiling is higher, at 2.7 metres, allowing lots of northern sunlight into the space.
This “folded roof” is going to create a beautiful internal volume for our living areas.
